Pinned topic How to create CCSID conversion table ?

‏2012-11-23T18:19:38Z |
In one of our MQ interface the character conversion from CCSID (Coded Character Set identifier) 819 to CCSID 500 is done using collation table.
The table is written in C language. The table is shown below.

static unsigned char 500to819[] = {
0x00, 0x01, 0x02, 0x03, 0x37, 0x2D, 0x2E, 0x2F,.....};

Using table, for conversion as shown below:

xdata = 500to819xdata; where xdata is set of characters.Ex: Eng
Now, I need to implement the conversion from CCSID 819 to CCSID 1051. I am not understanding how the collation table is created for CCSID 500 to 819.

Please help me in understanding how I can create a table for conversion from CCSID 819 to 1051.

    Hi there,

    I'm not sure why you have a table for character conversion in your application when you can simply ask MQ to do data conversion for you?

    Cheers
