Pinned topic Business Process Choreographer: Quick way of Deleting Process Instances

‏2012-11-23T10:47:12Z |
Hello,

I have a WPS6.2 deployed in an environment. I need to redeploy an app but it currently has more than 10,000 Running process instances in the Business Process Choreographer.

Is there a way to actually delete all of them quickly? I am currently terminating then deleting them via the Business Process Choreographer by batches of 500. I'm afraid that if I did more, my server will run out of memory.

Thanks

You are currently using the best option of deleting the process. You can try increasing the batch size on your test environment and the run on your live environment.

If you are un-installing the app and re-installing it, you can use the IBM provided jacl script with a "force" option. This will delete all process and task instances associated with the templates in the application.

opt/IBM/WebSphere/ProcServer/ProcessChoreographer/admin/bpcTemplates.jacl -lang jacl -uninstall $appName -force
