Pinned topic Process binary result coming from a HTTP Post request

Dear Forum,

We have to process a binary result coming from a HTTP Post request using custom code.

Do you have any suggestions how to achieve this?

    Hi,

RPT allows you to specify transformations for binary response data, for example into Ascii or to
transform Java Serialized Objects into XML.
This transformed data can then be used for correlation.

This documentation may be of use:
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rpthelp/v8r2m1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.rational.test.lt.doc%2Ftopics%2Ftbinedit.html

You'll need a recent version of RPT (8.2.1 has this functionality). I haven't used these
capabilities myself so am unsure of the details.
