The Health Monitor is deprecated, the documentation says.
Still, it is being active as default in DB2 v10.1
And you do get some output running:
db2 => get health snapshot for dbm
Question is: is the output relevant?
It used to be a convenient way of finding immediate problems, for instance if you have a memory parameter like the LOCKLIST set too low.
Is there a new better alternative to using the health monitor?

Re: The health monitor in v10.12012-11-21T12:15:41Z in response to SystemAdminHello,
"Deprecated" means that it might be removed in a future release. But it is still useable and even supported.
The health monitor is supposed to be replaced with the host of new administrative views and table functions that appeared in the last versions.
