I have two ds4700 storage. One at DC site and another at DR site. There is ERM between two site. At each sites there are multiple luns between which there is an ERM.Some luns ownership is controller A and for some luns it is controller B.Let us say that if the link of SAN switch for ERM goes down in controller A,I change the ownership of all the luns to controller B.In this case DC site storage shows mirror data synchronized and DR site storage says, mirror data UNsynchronized.
The firmware level for the storage are as follows:
Dc storage firmware
Firmware version: 06.23.05.00
Appware version: 06.23.05.00
Bootware version: 06.23.05.00
NVSRAM version: C1814D470R923V08
DR storage firmware
Firmware version: 07.60.52.00
Appware version: 07.60.52.00
Bootware version: 07.60.52.00
NVSRAM version: N1814D47R1060V17

Re: Enhanced Remote Mirroring issue2012-11-29T14:16:31Z in response to SystemAdminHello,
you use a really, really, really old firmware on the DC System. Before you try to find the solution for this problem update both systems to the same, new firmware.
I would never ever use two DS in a remote mirror relationship with different firmware versions, even if the first digits should be the same. Version 6.xx and 7.xx are two different worlds!!!!!!!!!
