Pinned topic How to detect "Infragistics Windows Forms" objects using RFT 8.2

‏2012-11-16T09:38:30Z |
Hi,
I am trying to automate my windows application, which is developed as an add-in in Visual Studio 2010 using RFT 8.2.
But when I started to record, RFT is not detecting all objects. Its identified objects belongs to "Microsoft.VisualStudio.Platform.WindowManagement.GenericPaneClientHwndHost" class. After that I tried to add verification point by selecting all the objects in the windows form. Later I tried to highlight each objects by objects specifically "WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.34f5582_r38_" type. I am not able to 'Highlight' object in AUT. I am getting a user message (please refer attachment).

Can anyone help me to solve this issue..

Check out TestAdvantage for RFT by Infragistics: http://www.infragistics.com/products/testadvantage-windows-forms-ibm/

It include support for all infragistics WinForms controls and it plugs into Eclipse and Visual Studio for both Java and VB scripting.

Hi Ammar, even after installed testadvantage also RFT is not identifying windows objects. But when I created a VP its identifying all objects in the AUT, but unable to map with AUT objects from object map.
