Hi.
Is there any impact on functionality etc on the RAID if firmware has been downgraded ? To be specific I need to downgrade the firmware version from 07.83.22.00 to 7.77.20.

i remember there was an info that a downgrade was not possible (as long as the download was available)
    What's your problem with 7.83?

I also need to downgrade from 07.84.46.00  to  07.83.27.00  due to infrastructure standard.

      Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Hi,

We also have the same problem. We have a lot of DS3512 running with firmware version 07.77.38 which is supported by IBM. Now we expanded the storage system with an additional DS3512 and got this delivered with firmware version 07.84.44.00.

To upgrade the firmware level to 07.84.44.00 means for us a downtime at least of 12 hours. Downgrade the new DS doesn't need any downtime, because the machine is not yet integrated into the storage stack.

Is there any way to do the downgrade?

What reason for does the DS Storage Manager block the downgrade?

Could you provide me with more information than the ones of the changelogs for the different versions for arguing the upgrade of plane vanilla DS35xx without any premium features used?
