Pinned topic AppScan Enterprise 8.6

‏2012-11-13T13:31:17Z |
Hi All,

I am very new on AppScan Enterprise 8.6 and recently download and installed its eval version. Everything is looking fine but problem is that I am unable to find how can I configure scan for website.

I can successfully access /admin and /jts apps but unable to access /asc module and getting following error.

=================================================================

**HTTP Status 403 - CRJZS0040E There is no REST service handler registered for the path "/".**

**type Status report**

**message CRJZS0040E There is no REST service handler registered for the path "/".**

**description Access to the specified resource (CRJZS0040E There is no REST service handler registered for the path "/".) has been forbidden.**

**Apache Tomcat/7.0.25**
================================================================

Can you please let me know the /asc module is required to access for scanner configuration? and It would be highly appreciable if you give me some pointers on above error and how can I resolve this issue?

Regards,

Gul

    Dear Gul,

    /asc is used in AppScan internally and you should not need to access this directly.

    What you need to make sure after installing AppScan Enterprise Server is creating an instance using "Configuration Wizard".

    (This will be automatically launched when you completed installing AppScan Enterprise Server)

    If you have followed the all installation steps with default instance name, you should have /ase (ex: https://localhost/ase). If you can access this, I believe you would not have any problem.

    Hi Jun,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I have some confusion, actually I can access https://JazzTeamServer:9443/jts and https://JazzTeamServer:9443/admin web interface, which perfectly fine for me but I could not get any website scan options from there.

    As you mention in your reply, I tried it but did not get any web console for configuring demo.testfire.net website scan and browser throwing me following error.

    ########
    SSL connection error
    Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have.
    Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error.

    #######

    I have also execute the Configuration Wizard which successfully configured the Jazz Team Server but not giving any option to start web scan configuration wizard option.

    I have also install AppScan Standard edition and it is perfectly fine for me and expecting the same scanning console on AppScan Enterprise edition but unable to get it even the installation is perfectly fine and no error during installation.

    Regards,

    Gul

    Hi,

    It sounds like you might have port 443 blocked on the server, or possibly some other environmental SSL issue. I would check/fix that first and the try https://servername/ase
    If you get stuck or have no firewalls that might be blocking such ports you could open a pmr with appscan support by calling 1-800-IBM-SERV
