Pinned topic Reverse engineering views from DDL file

‏2012-11-06T17:21:18Z |
Using IDA 8.1.0, when I reverse engineer a DDL file that has a view with a common table expression, IDA will create the view in the physical data model and remove the common table expression from the SQL. The SQL then becomes invalid.

This does not happen if I reverse engineer a view from a DB2 database. The common table expression is preserved in the view SQL when it is created in the data model.

I have attached a file with a simple view SQL containing a common table expression.

It's a defect in RE DDL. We will address it in the future release.

    Thanks,
