Pinned topic Sender Channel Error: Unable to start sender channel

‏2012-11-02T14:05:31Z |
HI,

MQ Error Code : AMQ9558 : Sender channel is in Retrying Mode

The solution for this error suggests to restart/Ping sender channel. When tried to ping the Sender channel , the AMQ4870 (MQRC_CHANNEL_NOT_AVAILABLE) is happening. But AMQ4870 error doesn't reflect the scenario. The Reciver channel(Inactive) and Remote QMGR are existing and RQMGR is running fine as well.

Can anyone guide me on resolution for this Channel error.

Any help is welcomed. Thannks in advance.

Cheers,
Harivittal

As with any channel error you need to look into the error log of both qmgrs involved.

Message AMQ9558 is described as follows:-

    C:\>mqrc AMQ9558

    536909144 0x20009558 rrcE_REMOTE_CHANNEL_UNAVAILABLE

    MESSAGE:
The remote channel '<insert one>' is not currently available.

    EXPLANATION:
The channel program ended because an instance of channel '<insert one>' could
not be started on the remote system. This could be for one of the following
    reasons:

    The channel is disabled.

The remote system does not have sufficient resources to run another instance of
    the channel.

In the case of a client-connection channel, the limit on the number of
instances configured for the remote server-connection channel was reached.

    ACTION:
Check the remote system to ensure that the channel is able to run. Try the
    operation again.

Have you checked what the error log on the remote system says is the reason?

    Cheers
