Pinned topic Modifying default names/bases for RFT logging

‏2012-11-01T15:37:33Z |
Does anyone know if there is a way to permanently modify the values used as the default name/base for the various logging components? Specifically:

  • The project log path (ie Project_Logs)
  • The default log directory created within Project_logs (ie the fq script name)
  • The screen snapshot base (ie rational_ft_screensnapshot)
  • The user screen snapshot base (ie rational_ft_user)

I know that the -log argument can be passed to the RFT command line to specify the log directory name created in Project_Logs, but I am looking for a more permanent solution that doesn't require access to the RFT execution, and for ways of modifying the other paths/names. Is there an ivory property or registry key that can be set to specify these things, or are they not customizable outside of the -log argument?

AFAIK you have to write your own custom logger
