Pinned topic Program Comments stored in RAA?

‏2012-11-01T06:40:28Z |
Hi,

Does RAA store program comments in its metadata?
Is it possible to search for comment text across programs using custom queries? (Similar to 'Literal search' feature)

If yes, for what languages is this feature available?

(I tried DMH_LITERAL, DMH_SYMBOL, DMH_EP_SYMBOL, DMH_CU_STMT etc to trace this, no luck so far)

Thanks!

None of the RAA analyzer capture comments for persistence in the meta-data repository.

If you scan in RAA on Windows and enable Symbol scanning, it will capture all symbols from any language. You can then search for individual Symbols/tokens and locate them in files. The symbols sequence is not captured, only the fact that it is there in the file.

    Hi Leshek,
Could you elaborate on your response?

I could not locate these being captured when I tried scanning with 'enable Symbol scanning' option on. The symbols captured are paragraph names, variable names and so on, but the comments (or their corresponding symbol id)was not stored in the DMH tables.
