Pinned topic Help to solve IWKAP0010W

‏2012-10-29T14:33:31Z |
Hi all

when i run a portlet from my pc with mozilla i receive this message:
"IWIWKAP0010W: An applet has not been loaded or it is not available. Some functions of Web Content Management won't be available" . Instead if i run it with IE (always from my PC), i don't reveice this message but the portlet don't work and i have to close with the "X".

Can some help me to :

1- understand how to solve the message IWIWKAP0010W.....
2- understand why the same portlet with IE don't work !!! (are there some logs/tools that help to do this?)

Thanks in advance

I'm going to guess that the page in question has the WCM Authoring portlet on it. In older versions -- not sure yet about v8 -- there is an applet needed to move the content item back and forth between the desktop and the server, in large part to make the rich text editor work.

Did anyone find a resolution for this? I'm experiencing this currently in version in 7.0.0.2. It's driving me crazy to have to switch between firefox and IE. And yes, It's WCM authoring portlets.
