Hi,

We need a step by step procedure / guide to capture the phyical file details of a digitial document.

Scenerio:
a. When the set of physical documents are scanned, indexed and released into FileNet, hte physical file details (.e.g location, rack, box number etc...) needs to be captured.

Please share any document if this kind of implementation has been done using IBM Records Manager record entities 'Record folder' - 'Box' type

I am not sure what kind of complete guide you are looking for but Box class contains some of the properties that you will need to populate such as physical location, barcode and etc.

Have tried this Box type and it has very limited information that can be captured like location, Barcode.

Can we add additional properties like rack, box number, shelf etc..

You can create a new Box class (extends Record Folder class) that contains all the other properties like rack, box number, self, and etc in Content Engine. It will appear right in the UI when you are creating a psychical record. You can also append these properties to the current Box class as well.
