Pinned topic Adding a Data Rule Definition to a folder

‏2012-10-16T00:33:14Z |
Hopefully the last one for today!
WOrking with IA ver 8.7
I am creating my own custom data rule definitions. However i cant see any way of managing their categories in the GUI. ie placing them in a folder.
Seems to work ok as an option when you create a data rule or ruleset.

Haralds predefined rule definitions are categorised within the xml definition eg see below in the folder attribute:

<DataRuleDefinitions>
<DataRuleDefinition name="FieldExists" folder="General Rules / General">
<description>Field Exists; null check only</description>
<expression>Field1 EXISTS</expression>
</DataRuleDefinition>

Thanks again

    Hi Andy,

    When editing the data rule definition, there are tabs on the left of the 'Overview' tab. Select the 'Folders' tab and then the 'Add' button. Note that the 'Add' button will not be there for data rule definitions in the 'Accepted' status.

    Regards,
    Robert

    Ah yes now i see it. The tabs are collapsed, can see them now. Still getting used to this UI, thanks a lot for that, Robert
