I have a few questions that I struggling with and it would be a great help if someone could help me with below queries.
1. Can Optim archive BLOB and CLOBs ? if yes , How does it stores them?
2. Is there a way to do reporting on Optim Archived files? I think using COGNOS we could do this but my client is not ready to spend for another license. Is there a was we could do custom reporting without spending more money :(

Optim stores the BLOBs in the archive file along with the rest of the fields in the table
If you have the license to Optim Connect (Attunity) then you can run queries against the archive files using for exemaple ODBC connection and any query reporting tool e.g. EXCEL. Otherwise you'd have to restore to a 'staging' database to access the data.

I am just a little curious to know, How does Optim treats Blobs , what I mean by that is does it stores it in form on 0101 ( binary ) in archived files and will they be accessible in archived files ( if we are using Optim connect studio and Excel for custom reporting ).

Just like any column data, Blobs are also part of Optim archive file and yes it is in the binary format. You can also access Optim archive file Blobs data using Optim Connect with the help of SQL.
Hope that clarifies your question.
