Pinned topic Parametrize JCL JOBCARD <JOBNAME>

‏2012-10-08T10:59:20Z |
Hello,

when I use the remote syntax check, the following job card from the property group is used:
//<JOBNAME> JOB ,
// MSGCLASS=H,MSGLEVEL=(1,1),TIME=(,4),REGION=144M,COND=(16,LT)

In our environment (RDz 8.5.0.1) the <JOBNAME> is replaced with HLQ of the dataset of the source followed by a 1.
Is it possible to parametrize the jobname with the current userid instead of the HLQ (something like %USERID%)?

Thanks

Georg

    Interesting... When I submit a Remote Compile, the JCL created substitutes my Userid (A001631).

    Here is my property group JCL tab information:
    //<JOBNAME> JOB (18597,DART,DART),'RDZ SUBMITTED JOB',
    // CLASS=R,MSGCLASS=U,NOTIFY=&SYSUID

    And here is the resulting JCL that was substituted:
    //A001631 JOB (18597,DART,DART),'RDZ SUBMITTED JOB', JOB09956
    // CLASS=R,MSGCLASS=U,NOTIFY=&SYSUID,
    // USER=A001631,PASSWORD=
    Edit your Property Group assigned to the COBOL member, look at the JCL tab and make sure the substituted JOB CARD has <JOBNAME> not <HLQ>.

    Hello,

    I also see this issue, when I use the "Generate JCL - For Compile" in the Remote Systems - View.
