Hi - does any one know how I can free up my mainframe session while I am debugging a COBOL program in RDZ 7.6? Or is it not possible at all? Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: RDZ 7.6 with Mainframe/COBOL2012-10-06T06:37:23Z in response to PolomanIf you're referring to your TSO terminal being locked while you're debugging, you could submit JCL that initiates a debug session in RDz, thereby keeping your TSO terminal free for other tasks.
If your request was different, reply back with steps so that we could suggest alternatives.

Re: RDZ 7.6 with Mainframe/COBOL2012-10-09T14:45:21Z in response to zdebugThanks for reply. I am referring to RDZ session starting from TSO/mainframe CICS transaction. I am trapping an online COBOL program to debug in RDZ. Once its trapped by RDZ then the mainframe session is locked (show busy). I cannot access TPX menu (main mainframe menu from where I can access other mainframe sessions). I hope you can help me ith this.

Re: RDZ 7.6 with Mainframe/COBOL2012-10-09T21:21:53Z in response to PolomanI do not have experience with TPX, but our IBM Session Manager product you can have Escape keys in order to return to main menu, even if the CICS session is "hang" or busy. Normally, we place PA2 or PA3 keys to switch back to the menu.
I suppose that with TPX you should have something similar to return to the menu.
