Hi - does any one know how I can free up my mainframe session while I am debugging a COBOL program in RDZ 7.6? Or is it not possible at all? Any advice would be appreciated.

This is the accepted answer. If you're referring to your TSO terminal being locked while you're debugging, you could submit JCL that initiates a debug session in RDz, thereby keeping your TSO terminal free for other tasks.
If your request was different, reply back with steps so that we could suggest alternatives.

I suppose that with TPX you should have something similar to return to the menu.
