I am using one common type tree for 20 maps .
so when ever i am adding additional field to that type tree i have to always open the map editor and write the mapping rule for the new fields as NONE.
Is there any way to write the mapping rule for the field without opening the design studio.

- Create a copy of your map
- Doubleklick executable map
- Map->Export To XML
- Edit the XML file. Be careful!
- Reload xml file with File->Import

1.) create a functional map in 1 map file; fill the new field with =NONE
2.) type the name of that functional map in the other 19 maps and say "reference" -> choose the map file of 1.) and click on the functional map
Now you only have to type =NONE once. But you still need to recompile all 20 maps after adding a new field.
