Pinned topic connection to Storwize unified created share.

Hi! I have a some question about networking on Storwize V7k Unified system.
First question.
Can you explain me on which ip addres, created by command listed below could i create connection from clien PC??

mknw 17.0.0.0/24 0.0.0.0/0:17.0.0.1 --add 17.0.0.100,17.0.0.101,17.0.0.102,17.0.0.103,17.0.0.104
attachnw 17.0.0.0/24 ethX1

As i understand, this command create 3 ip address for 2 bounded interfaces on 2 nodes and CTDB appoints their automaticaly: 2 address on first node , 1 on second - for example.

And second question:
How CTDB balancing load on nodes? Or it's not working?

Thanks!

Looking at your commands, the following would happen.

    "mknw 17.0.0.0/24 0.0.0.0/0:17.0.0.1 --add 17.0.0.100,17.0.0.101,17.0.0.102,17.0.0.103,17.0.0.104"

Will define a new network (17.0.0.0/24) with a default gateway (17.0.0.1) and five data addresses (17.0.0.100 through 17.0.0.104)

The following command "attachnw 17.0.0.0/24 ethX1" will attach this newly defined network to the 10G interface. Prior to this the network has been defined but is not active.

Any of the 5 addresses passed to the mknw's "--add" parameter can be used for filesystem I/O.

I do not believe CTDB will load balance by moving the addresses between nodes, but some load balancing may be done between different ports on the same node depending on the bonding mode in use.
