Hi! I have a some question about networking on Storwize V7k Unified system.
Can you explain me on which ip addres, created by command listed below could i create connection from clien PC??
mknw 126.96.36.199/24 0.0.0.0/0:188.8.131.52 --add 184.108.40.206,220.127.116.11,18.104.22.168,22.214.171.124,126.96.36.199
attachnw 188.8.131.52/24 ethX1
As i understand, this command create 3 ip address for 2 bounded interfaces on 2 nodes and CTDB appoints their automaticaly: 2 address on first node , 1 on second - for example.
And second question:
How CTDB balancing load on nodes? Or it's not working?

Re: connection to Storwize unified created share.2012-10-04T08:46:42Z in response to SystemAdminLooking at your commands, the following would happen.
"mknw 184.108.40.206/24 0.0.0.0/0:220.127.116.11 --add 18.104.22.168,22.214.171.124,126.96.36.199,188.8.131.52,184.108.40.206"
Will define a new network (220.127.116.11/24) with a default gateway (18.104.22.168) and five data addresses (22.214.171.124 through 126.96.36.199)
The following command "attachnw 188.8.131.52/24 ethX1" will attach this newly defined network to the 10G interface. Prior to this the network has been defined but is not active.
Any of the 5 addresses passed to the mknw's "--add" parameter can be used for filesystem I/O.
I do not believe CTDB will load balance by moving the addresses between nodes, but some load balancing may be done between different ports on the same node depending on the bonding mode in use.
