Pinned topic Need ability to modify the Push Notification Proxy Settings from Console

‏2012-10-01T20:17:17Z |
Configuration of the push notification proxy requires changes to the worklight.properties. Updating the file is not easy, it requires exporting the ear, extracting the war, updating the file in the war, packaging the ear with updated war and then reinstalling the ear file. It is error prone and it is tedious. Provide ability to update the configuration in the Worklight Console or provide an Admin API to change the files.

Thanks

    Thank you for the idea.
We will certainly take it under consideration in a future release of IBM Worklight.

To clarify on what is the recommended way today to change worklight.properties:

    1. Have a copy of this file in your source control system.
    2. Change it in the Worklight Studio.
3a. If you are using the Worklight Server embedded in the Studio, you are done (but may need to stop/start the server).
3b. If you want to deploy it on an external server, then go to the project's /bin directory, get the .customization file (a zip file containing the worklight.properties, among other things), and deploy it to the app server using an Ant task.
