I am trying to build a Windows Server 2012 cluster using a DS5020. MPIO has been installed and seeing IBM 1814 FASt and IBM Universal Xport as devices.
When trying to bring any SAN volume online, I am seeing the following message:
Failed to bring disk online - Unspecified Error
Extended information: Incorrect function.
After I rescan storage, the server is saying the disk status is online. When trying to initialize the disk, the following error message is presented:
Failed to initialize disk - Unspecified Error
Extended information: Incorrect function
To rule out clustering I removed all mappings and tried mapping a volume to a single server, and still am seeing the same error messages. I also changed preferred ownership of volume to the other controller.
SAN Firmware is: 7.77.34.00
Has anyone successfully used Windows Server 2012 with a DS5020?
Thanks for any advice.

DS5020 is not supported for Win2012, yet. Check compatibility information on SSIC page:
IBM System Storage Interoperation Center (SSIC)
