Here is the simple requirement.
I have a "Contracts" folder and a subfolder titled "Endorsements." I would like to use the same subclass document for content in both folders with the same required custom drop down list (choice list) field titled "Category."
Folder structure is:
The Category field should display different drop down list items depending on which folder the user is in.

Renewed As Expired

I am writing to the (P8 & Lotus Domino) Java API between a Lotus Notes application and P8 that contains categorized content that needs to be maintained in P8 as well. Is there a way to present the two different set of drop down list items (above) depending on which folder the user is in without having to create a whole new subclass document just to accommodate this ?
