I created a txt file which contains text (éaèçioôü), tab and text ( see file in attach).
When I copy and paste this file to MVS. the file is created but
the tabs are still existing.
I expect that the tabs are changed by spaces during the ftp
Is it possible that the ftp changes tabs to spaces?
may be somewhere in the preferences?

Re: Copy/paste window file (txt) to mainframe2012-10-15T11:34:42Z in response to ENO2010My idea would be to check the editor for the .txt file in Window--Preferences and under General-Editors-File Associations.
The other place (but I do not see anything special) is the Remote System--Files category, look for *.txt files and see the File Transfer mode, but as we only have two choices I do not think we will be able to set the correct parameters.
So with the first one, associate a .txt file to for example an System Z LPex Editor and in this way we won't have the tabs

Re: Copy/paste window file (txt) to mainframe2012-10-16T22:34:25Z in response to ENO2010Hi Eric. I'm a little confused about what you're trying to do - and what the problem is. Could you please explain in greater detail? Are you trying to create a z/OS sequential dataset and can't (through RDz)? Are you saying that you'd like the tabs to disappear or to be honored when you copy/paste?
