Pinned topic LPEX "Show in Program Control Flow" not active

‏2012-09-25T13:50:25Z |
Hello,
we are currently working with Jon Sayles RDz Distance Learning (RDz Workbench - for ISPF Developers - v8.5.ppt)
We use RDz 8.5.0.1.
When I open a Cobol file TRTMNT.cbl (no syntax errors) with the System LPEX Editor the context menu entry "Show in Program Control Flow" is greyed out and not active.

When I open the same file with the Cobol Editor, this context menu entry is active and working.

Do I have to change any preferences to enable this menu entry in the system lpex editor?

Regards

Georg

Are you seeing this will all COBOL files or only this particular COBOL file (if so, anything special about this file... like it has multiple programs etc)

It might be a timing issue. When you open COBOL file in the editor, you will notice tooling indicator in status bar (You should see something like COBOL Syntax Parsing..). It is usually very quick. But if you have a huge program if may take few seconds. I believe if you right mouse click (RMB) in the editor before the parsing is done, the "Show in Program Control Flow" is greyed out. So, can you try to RMB in the editor area once the parsing is done and see if that makes any difference? If you still see this problem, can you try RMB in different locations of the code and see if that makes any difference?

    Thanks
