Pinned topic How to define queuemanager group object dynamically

‏2012-09-24T01:33:06Z |
Hi All ,

I want to define MQ queuemanager group name for back-end mq call using dp-url open .
I am looking forward for failover scenario.

when trying with regular MQ url , its not working
dpmq://QMGR/?RequestQueue=queue
means
when i define
dpmq://QMGR group name /?RequestQueue=queue if qmgr1 is down its just giving 2051 error message but not looking for secondary queue manager

please let me know the syntax .

Thanks,
Sridhar

Both are 2 independent queuemanagers resides on different hosts. If QM1 connection fails DP has to send data to QM2.

Are you able to send the messages to both the QMs individually?

So the queue manager group will failover if the primary queue manager is down. In this case, the primary queue manager is up, but just the queue is put disabled, thus the error you are seeing. The better approach to this is to have your request queue clustered. Then MQ will do the work load management across the QMs in the cluster and will distribute the requests to the two QMs but will send them all to one QM if the other queue is put disabled.
