Pinned topic FIlenet configuration issue on UNIX environment

‏2012-09-07T13:44:26Z |
Hi,

We are connecting to the fileNet server using java application. As per the IBM tutorial, we have done the configuration changes for run.bat & run.sh file on JBoss server. Application is working fine in Windows environment but it is not working in UNIX environment.

we have added the following two variables in run.sh file of JBOSS server in unix environment.

-Djava.security.auth.login.config="/app/CEClient/config/samples/jaas.conf.JBoss"
-Dwasp.location="/app/CEClient/wsi"
We are getting the below error while connecting to the FileNet from Java application in UNIX environment.

Error::com.filenet.api.exception.EngineRuntimeException: E_NULL_OR_INVALID_PARAM_VALUE: Parameter objectStore is either null or has an invalid value.
Environmental details:

Server: JBoss
OS: Linux
Java:jdk 1.6

Can you please suggest us for resolving this configuration issue in UNIX environment

Thanks,
Vijay

What CE release are you using?

If your CE is 4.5.1 or later, you do not need "wasp.location" at all. In fact, I recommend you remove wasp.jar and all that other WASP-related stuff from your environment. It occasionally causes conflicts since there are a lot of 3rd party JAR files in the WASP directories.

Could you show us the full stack trace of the exception you are getting?

It seems unusual to get a complaint about the OS value due to one of the config items you mentioned. Perhaps some application-specific configuration setting needs a tweak for Unix?

Thanks for your support on this.
We have given full rights(RWX) permission to the CEClient and all subfolders then the issue is resolved.
      Application is working fine now.

      Thanks,
      Vijay
