Pinned topic Writing the WVARCHAR column into a VARCHAR database column
I developed a job that extracts data from source and loads into target database using RCP.It don't have any transformation. After successful execution of job,i got the following error message,"Writing the WVARCHAR column into a VARCHAR database column can cause data loss or corruption due to character set conversions."
I verify the character set of source and target database. Both are UTF8.Please give me solution for fix this warning.

I also encountered the same problem and did set the NLS map tpo UTF-8 but that did not solve my problem. However, I am using DB2 BLU (v 10.5) as my target and migrating ORACLE data into it.#
I made follwing changes to the target column. I defined the target column as NVARCHAR and it did accomodate the NVARCHAR value from ORACLE source and did not throw any warnings.
I too am running RCP and not explicitly removing UNICODE EXTENDED property from source oracle connector stage layout page.
Try this out if it helps.
