I own a model 810 with v5r4m0 currently. I have the complete OS lic. I have starting playing with db2/400 and came across the GUI data studio express-c. LUW. While looking around the ide, i cant seem to figure out how to do a connection to the db2/400 database from the software on my pc to the dbs on the 400. I know that ibm does not make any thing easy. So please can anyone who know the step by step instructions to get the pc to connect to the databases on my 400. thanks for ur time and help:-):-):-):-) perry

I don't know anything about the AS/400. I am sure that there is someone else on the forums who knows.

For the iSeries, you can use their specific client tool or DataStudio. In Datastudio, create a new database connection (right click in data explorer) and then select iSeries connection in the drop down and fill in your details.

I have connections to a couple of iSeries and several LUW databases,
