Pinned topic Move installation to different hw?

‏2012-08-17T10:23:54Z |
Hi,

I'm using the native installation in Solaris 10.

Is it possible to install the agent without the response file on one hw run:
/var/itlm/itlmagent -clone and copy /var/itlm and /opt/tivoli/cit to another hw
and start using it?

Regards

    Hi,

-clone command is intended to be used during OS template preparation.
In your case it will not work, because some config files would be still missing.

But even if you copy them (/etc/tlmagent.ini, /etc/ibm), the OS registry will not contain agent entry, so the future upgrades, uninstall, self-update will fail.

    Best regards,
