Pinned topic How ro validate a JCL

‏2012-08-16T13:38:56Z |
Hi,

I have just installed RDz 8.5 and want to validate if a JCL is OK or not.
This is a snip of the JCL:
//ZM69501S EXEC PGM=ZM69501L
//STEPLIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=CMAN.T001.LO <- this dataset is not found a B is missing in the end
// DD DISP=SHR,DSN=CMAN.S001.LOB

But how can I get RDz LPEX JCL editor to tell me that?
I only get syntax errors (fine) - but this JCL will not run if I do a submit and I want to know that.

Regards Peter

    RDz only checks JCL syntax. It doesn't check dataset disposition or security. There are currenlty several RFEs that request this type of functionality.
