I have just installed RDz 8.5 and want to validate if a JCL is OK or not.
This is a snip of the JCL:
//ZM69501S EXEC PGM=ZM69501L
//STEPLIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=CMAN.T001.LO <- this dataset is not found a B is missing in the end
// DD DISP=SHR,DSN=CMAN.S001.LOB
But how can I get RDz LPEX JCL editor to tell me that?
I only get syntax errors (fine) - but this JCL will not run if I do a submit and I want to know that.

Re: How ro validate a JCL2012-08-16T15:05:26ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer.RDz only checks JCL syntax. It doesn't check dataset disposition or security. There are currenlty several RFEs that request this type of functionality.
