I'm using nmon analyzer 3.4.0 to analyze nmon generated by nmon 14g
I'm using Excel 2007
I'm getting a dialog at the end of the analysis - 'Some lines discarded'
In the resultant file, I see a 'Straylines' tab containing the following
Following lines discarded after parsing
DGBUSY Disk Group Busy domsvt0136
DGREAD Disk Group Read KB/s domsvt0136
DGSIZE Disk Group Block Size KB domsvt0136
DGWRITE Disk Group Write KB/s domsvt0136
DGXFER Disk Group Transfers/s domsvt0136
This problem breaks automation we use to run nmon_analyzer and collect results, due to the appearance of the unexpected dialog.

As far as I can see, the message is issued if you are only processing a single input file - regardless of whether you are running in batch mode or not. I honestly can't recall why it does that. It would be easy enough to change but I don't think I've touched that part of the code for years so I'm surprised no-one has complained before. Did you test the new release with a single file whereas you normally process more than one file?
What release are you currently using?

I equally graph single files or multiple files in normal operations.
I am using nmon analyzer 3.4.0 to graph a nmon 14g file generated on red hat 6.3 64 bit
Were you able to reproduce the issue using the attached nmon file?

Could you possibly send me an additional .nmon file, the .txt file you use as the batch control file and the .bat file you use to kick it off. I'll see if I can replicate the error and get a fix sorted.
Send the files to steve_atkins at uk.ibm.com

This is not the only show stopper for automation. There are several places within the VB code which prompt for user input. The main one I remember is 'OK to overwrite target cells' or some-such.
I have hacked the VB code to disable prompting around the code which causes this. In other places, I set the ErrMsg variable to a null string e.g.:
If StrayLines = 0 Then
ErrMsg = "Some lines discarded"
---> ErrMsg = ""
Sheets.Add.Name = "StrayLines"
Set StraySheet = Worksheets("StrayLines")
StraySheet.Range("B1") = "Following lines discarded after parsing"
This tends to stop the dialog boxes appearing.
There is still at least one place in my modified version which prompts for user input. Problem is that it only manifests when run in batch via a Powershell script in the windows scheduler. If I run the PS script manually, I don't get the problem.

I have the same problem, using
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (x86_64)
- Excel 2010 (Excel 14.0 on Windows (32-bit) NT 6.01)
- command: /usr/local/bin/nmon -f -s 30 -c 600 -t
- nmon analyser v34a.xls
- nmon_x86_64_sles11, nmon verion 14g
