We have a process that has been running for many months that looks for object differences in *SYSBAS and reports them as differences. It has been working nicely and whenever we do a PowerHA role swap we have manually updated our Systems table that designates the current "Primary" system. I am now trying to automatically detect that a role swap has occurred by using the API QcstListClusterResourceGroupIn using format LRG0301. The API is returning the correct system names in Node Id field but I am having an issue with what is being returned in the Current Node Role field. The Current Node Role for the system we are currently running on has a value of -1 and the value of the system we swapped from has a value of 0 and my impression is that they should be reveresed. A sample of the results are below. As I mentioned early we are currently running with the iASP attached on the Backup1 system.
System1 = 0
Flash1 = -1
Flash2 = -1
DR1 = -1
Backup1 = -1
Am I interpreting the Current Node Role usage incorrectly? Is there another way to determine which system within a cluster is the current "Primary" system?
Any thoughts or assistance regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I had posted it there as well and have yet to receive any responses but I am still hopeful.
