Pinned topic XP installation stucks with error: Can not find C:\DSPdsblr.exe

‏2012-08-01T17:04:13Z |
Hello, I am stucking to install plain XP pro on a IBM Thinkcenter M50. In the middle of the deployment, when first starting into XP setup from disk it comes up with this error. If I click ok, it seems that it continues but stucks then in the Key input window.

The XP I am deploying came from CD into the TPM. The Keys I put into any Target Entry. All do the same (three of them).

Any idea how to determine the problem or isolate?

regds Frank

    Hello,
i suggest first of all to check the correctness of the windows license
key (may be an error typing it).
If after this check you are still not able to deploy the image:
    • send me the complete xp version and the license type (is it a volume
    license?)
    • send me the complete tpmfOSD level
    • try to re-create a new profile

    Thanks Marco.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

To isolate, we tried to insert the key manually, without success. So I guess, that is is your suspected matter of the installation media. The ISO we downloaded somewhere and I thought thats fine. We will try to find an original MS WinXP Pro media and retry the deployment.

    Thanks so far.
