Pinned topic Supplied CSD group DFH$OSGI

‏2012-07-26T06:01:19Z |
Hi There,

I am attempting to work through the JCICS examples for CICS Explorer SDK. I didn't get supplied group DFH$OSGI on my initialized CICS TS 4.2 CSD. How can I get it, or alternatively can you provide me with a printout of the definitions.

Regards,
Mark

    Hi Mark,

I certainly have a DFH£($)OSGI group in my CSD. I copied mine from my 3.2 CSD and ran the UPGRADE command against it. That created the DFH£OSGI group.

    How did you create yours?

    Cheers
    Graham

    Hi Graham,

I initialised a new one using the 4.2 DFHCSDUP. But I have also gone back and done upgrades to v3.2 and v4.1 CSDs to no avail. I was also missing DFHWUSRT (I think) from DFHWU.

    Regards,
    Mark

The UPGRADE creates DFHWU too. Why don't you try running UPGRADE against your new CSD and see what happens. Strange though, you'd expect the INITIALIZE command to create all the necessary groups.

      Cheers

        Hi Graham,

An UPGRADE of a CICS TS 4.2 CSD created DFH$OSGI, DFH$AXIS and program DFHWUSRT in DFHWU. Thanks for that - I know that you were having sleepless nights worrying about my plight.

        Regards,
        Mark

          Hi Mark,

glad you are working now. Strange that the initialise didn't create those groups, I'd be tempted to raise a PMR. As long as you are sure you ran the initialise from the TS4.2 SDFHLOAD. :-)

          Cheers
