Pinned topic Where to get free images?

‏2012-07-16T17:54:28Z |
Hi, does anybody know where I can get free to use images or icons? I'm writing a web application for a friend and want to add some images to the user interface. For example, there's a user list. You can edit or delete users. I have created text links for this but icons would be much nicer (a little pencil for "Edit" and a red cross for "Delete", for example).

Thanks in advance.

If your web application won't be a commercial product you could look in google for Creative Commons Images.

    (e.g.):

    Link: http://creativecommons.org/image/
Other good site for that purpose is DeviantArt, where there are a lot of designers with free contributions.

you can try out licensed images websites like http://www.istockphoto.com/ and http://www.shutterstock.com/. The images over there are very unique and creative.

For images you can try shutterstock, gettyimages, and istockphoto. For icons iconfinder and findicons will serve you the best.
