Pinned topic struggling with changing home directory of instance owner

‏2012-07-11T09:37:04Z |
I needed to move the home-directory of the instance-owner db2das from /home/db2das to /db2/DAS.

After copying the sqllib and successful "db2iupdt db2das", I can start and stop the instance.

However, the DB DAS cannot be activated, because still the "/home/db2das" is somewhere in the configuration (db2 activate db das -> SQL1051N The path "" does not exist or is not valid. SQLSTATE=57019)

A workaround is to put a link /home/db2das -> /db2/DAS.

Actually, I find the wrong homedirectory here an there

/db2/DAS/NODE0000/sqldbdir/:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 db2das db2das 1512 Jul 10 05:00 sqldbbak
-rw-rw-r-- 1 db2das db2das 1512 Jul 10 05:00 sqldbdir
-rw-rw-r-- 1 db2das db2das 540 Jul 4 05:00 sqldbins

db2das@trainvmdb2 sqldbdir$ strings sqldbins | grep home
/home/db2das/db2das/NODE0000/SQL00001/
db2das@trainvmdb2 sqldbdir$

Is there any way to clean the home-directory path in the files?

Look into using db2relocatedb to fix the database location.

    Hello,

What I would do is the following :
    - drop the DAS (dasdrop)
    - change the home directory of DAS owner
    - create the DAS (dascrt)
