We have installed InfoSphere Datastage 8.7 on our Linux server, and are now trying to connect from the windows client, but as we have implemented a VLAN on the server side, our admin has setup port forwarding on port 9080, so that I am able to connect from the client. However the message I am getting when connecting is as follows:
Exception type: com/ascential/acs/security/auth/JNDILoginException
Exception message: The URL
I have also tried running the UpdateSignerCerts scripts on both server and client side but failed. On the server side there is a timeout error, on a client side (not convinced this needs to be run though as we are not using SSL)
The following error is returned from an exception: ADMC0017E: Could not create an RMI connector to connect to host vm-xx-xxx-xx-xx at port 2809
I am wondering, does anything need to be done to port 2809? Ie does that need to be forwarded too also somehow?
According to the documentation below there are a number of other ports that are needed for the client to access the server, does that mean we would also need to open up these ports via port forwarding?
Any help on how to progress would be much appreciated!
