‏2012-07-04T09:05:37Z |
I am new to the Data stage. We are using DS 7.5.1 in windows environment. We wrote SQL script and placed it in a directory. I have to call it in DS job Before job Subroutine using ExecDOS and have to write the details in the log file with some file name. In previous proj my senior used the following command in input value,

cmd /C "#AppPath#" /U #UserName# /P #Password# /S #ServerName# /d #DatabaseName# /i #RDBPath#\Script.sql -v Days=#Days# /o #logfiles#\log1.log -b

could any one help me by telling meaning following,

/C, /U, /P, /S, /d, /i, -v, /o, -b. If i am right this belongs to MS-Dos shell and "cmd" command is used. Please help me on this.

    I have found the answer. "#AppPath#" having sqlcmd.bat which needs the following inputs. /U #UserName# /P #Password# /S #ServerName# /d #DatabaseName# /i #RDBPath#\Script.sql -v Days=#Days# /o #logfiles#\log1.log -b

/i for input and -v to assign a value to the variable.
/o for output and -b for terminatting batch while error occurs.
