Backup Admin – Team Leader (CommVault Simpana Product Suite)

Job Description: Mandatory skills (please enter all mandatory skills customer will look for)
ü Storage Backup Resource shall be responsible for implementing and managing Capital One backup environment and performing production support activities for ensure data protection and recoverability. This includes support of the backup environment to include: installation of backup agents on servers, configuration of agents, scheduling the backups, restoring data, etc. Storage Backup Resource responsibilities shall include the following

ü Core Backup Administration experience

ü Generating capacity reports, performance, trending, incident reports and other related items to enable the delivery of required monitoring solutions

ü Working experience related to one or more of the following technologies/tools: CommVault, TSM, NetApp, and NetBackup

ü Working experience with one or more of the following is a major plus 1. OS: Linux, Solaris, HP and AIX 2. Supporting tools Citrix, Isilon

ü Direct and participate in the effective backup planning and installation/configuration

ü Support incident management processes

ü Perform ongoing performance tuning

ü Ensure backup operations for all systems with backup schedules

ü Effectively manage onsite-offshore teams on day-to-day basis

Job Description: Good-to-have skills
ü Strong communication and interpersonal skills

ü Understand and follow IT processes including Change & Configuration, Problem, Incident and Service Readiness and other established team procedures (ITIL V3 certified)
