I want to remove unwanted files from my computer and noticed a 22 heapdump files in the C:\Program Files\IBM\IDA7.5.3 folder. The files names look like heapdump.20120124.110357.3784.0011.phd and The average size is about 300MB. Are these files imported? I would like to delete them to recover the disk space.

Re: heapdump files2012-06-30T18:28:57Z in response to rwgoebelHi,
The heapdump files are generated when the Java virtual machine running Infosphere Data Architect has an abnormal exit, for example an out of memory condition. The example filename you included would be a heap dump from January 24, 2012, about 5 months ago. The heap dump files are valuable if you are experiencing a problem which you want to report to IBM for investigation, but otherwise can be deleted, they have no impact on Infosphere Data Architect normal operation.
