Pinned topic WebSphere JAX-WS Web service runtime does not support the service. Why?

‏2012-06-22T19:58:12Z |
I am stuck while trying to complete this JMS tutorial in RAD:

"Tutorial: Creating a JAX-RPC Web Service from an enterprise bean using SOAP/JMS"

I have successfully completed "Lesson 1.1: Creating a server and server configuration for JMS"
In "Lesson 1.2: Creating the Web service" all goes well until step 5, which reads:

Ensure that the following server-side options are selected:
Server: WebSphere Application Server v7.0
Runtime: IBM WebSphere JAX-RPC runtime environment
Service project: JMSService
Service EAR project: JMSEAR
Ensure that the following client-side options are selected:
Server: WebSphere Application Server v7.0
Runtime: IBM WebSphere JAX-RPC runtime environment
Client project: JMSServiceEJBClient
Client EAR project: JMSServiceEJBClientEAR
The projects which do not already exist will be created for you by the wizard.
HOWEVER, after completing step 5, I get this error message:
"The IBM WebSphere JAX-WS Web service runtime does not support the service project JMSService."

See the attachment for a snapshot.

I am running:
IBM Rational® Application Developer™ for WebSphere® Software
Version: 7.5.5.5
Build ID: RADO7555-I20111019_2114

Windows 7 OS

I just noticed that I was usgin the wrong runtime, JAX-WS, when I ought to have beening using JAX-RPC. However, I get a similar error when I do that:

"The IBM WebSphere JAX-RPV Web service runtime does not support the service project JMSService."

There was a typo in my last posting. The error message is
"The IBM WebSphere JAX-RPC Web service runtime does not support the service project JMSService."

I am marking this thread as "answered" because of the typos that will confuse readers. See the correct thread: "WebSphere JAX-RPC Web service runtime does not support the service."
