Pinned topic EXPLAIN Help

‏2012-06-20T17:43:18Z |
Hi,

I have a query I believe is not using the index...it's taking a long time to run. I haven't spent much time handling performance and tuning issues with solidDB, but did know "explain" is an option. I'm attempting to run an explain and it's causing solidDB to crash; maybe I'm doing something wrong.

> solsql "tcp 11100" id pw
> EXPLAIN PLAN FOR
SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT REFNO) AS COUNT
FROM ATH_COMMON_LOGGING_HISTORY
WHERE service_id = '0400'
AND date >= '2012-04-07'
AND date <= '2012-06-07';

Communication link failure

2012-06-20 11:25:01 IBM solidDB process has encountered an internal
error and is unable to
continue normally. Please report the following information to technical
support.
Status: 474@tab0audit.c
Date: 2012-06-20 11:25:01
Product: IBM solidDB

....I've tried this on version 6.5 and version 7. Am I performing the explain correctly?

Thanks,

Tom Glaser

    Hi everyone,

    It turns out that running an explain with AuditTrailEnabled=yes is what's causing solidDB to crash. IBM is working on a fix.

    Thanks, Tom
