Pinned topic RAA not accepting a correct translated statement.

‏2012-06-14T19:35:12Z |
I'm a very new user of the Rational Asset Analyzer. From what I can tell Asset Analyzer is having a problem with field layouts when the translated statements are correct. Is there something I'm not doing right or is there an issue with RAA?

I have two examples.

The first one it didn't like the word "AS". When I remove it it doesn't like the period in the source code on EXEC.
Copybook
10 APPL-DATA USAGE SQL TYPE IS XML AS CLOB(1M).

Lines from source program
EXEC SQL
INCLUDE DMMYE001
END-EXEC.

Error Messages
RC8= Type=COBOL AES1005E: Found unsupported syntax 'AS' in line 32 in copy/included DMMYE001.

RC8= Type=COBOL AES1017E: Found unsupported syntax in DMMYE001 referred in line 733 in source file.
The second one is similar and for some reason runs words together. Is there some type of limitation?

First two lines of copybook:
05 CL-AU-STS-SEGMENT.
10 CL-AU-STS-KFLD.

Lines in source program:
COPY DMMW4203 REPLACING ==CL-AU-STS-SEGMENT==
BY ==WH-030-CL-AU-STS-SEGMENT
OCCURS 30
INDEXED BY WXH-030-CL-AU-STS-IDX==.

Error Messages:
RC8= COBOL AES1005E: Found unsupported syntax "INDEXEDBY" IN LINE 2 IN COPY/INCLUDE DMMW4203.

RC8= TYPE COBOL AES1017E: Found unsupported syntax in file DMMW4203 referred in lin 1649 in source file.

Why is RAA squeezing the two words together?

Thanks,

Chris

    XML parsing is only enabled in the RAA compiler-based scanner. AES messages indicate you are using the RAA proprietary scanner.

    I can understand where that will fix the first issue. What about the second issue where it is squeezing the "indexedby"?

    What version of RAA are you using? I cannot reproduce the problem in the current development level, however, I can reproduce something similar, Found unsupported syntax "INDEXED"... message, using RAA Fix Pack 8 (6008).
