Pinned topic Having a problem connecting to HC in ISA5 beta

‏2012-06-13T18:35:16Z |
Having issues connecting Health Center in ISA 5.0 beta - No JVM detected. I'm using same hostname and port number and it works fine in ISA 4.1 I made sure 4.1 was not running when I attempted the connection in 5.0 beta.

    Hello Joe,

Some possible issues are firewall, version differences between the agent running on the server and the version of the HC client and the protocol used to connect. I may need to had this question over to the Java tools team. However first I would like to collect a little more information about the issue:

1). What version of HC are you using with ISA V4?
2). Is ISA V4 and ISA V5 running on the same machine?
(If they aren't, then the firewall issue could be the issue).
3). What's the exact message you are seeing in ISA5?

    Thanks,
    Ricky Holcomb

Hello Ricky, I hope these responses are helpful.

1). What version of HC are you using with ISA V4?

    Client:
    IBM Support Assistant Workbench
    Version: 4.1.2.00
    Build id: 101123-1186

    On Server:
Health Center Agent library build date Feb 1 2012 17:07:09
    Health Center Agent version 2.0.0.20120201
Full version JRE 1.6.0 IBM Linux build pxa6460sr9fp1-20110401_02 (SR9 FP1)

2). Is ISA V4 and ISA V5 running on the same machine? Yes, but not at the same time. I stop one before starting another. I also tried clearing browser cache.

(If they aren't, then the firewall issue could be the issue).

3). What's the exact message you are seeing in ISA5?
Search for JVM No JVM detected on hostname

Are you able to connect to an appplication running the Health Center agent that is on the same machine as the one you have ISA 5 installed ?

      Is the same problem

Install ISA 5 Beta in the same server and not detect JVM 1972 Agent

The Agent started OK on Application Server
