Pinned topic CTG plug-in - lifetime vs. interval data elements

‏2012-06-07T15:12:43Z |
Good morning,

We were trying to utilize the CTG plug-in in order to debug an issue and ran into a question regarding the values provided. It appears that the values are "lifetime" and not "interval" (GD_LAVRESP vs. GD_IAVRESP). Are the interval values available in another view, perhaps?

Thank you,
Heather

    Hello Heather,

The CICS TG plug-in today exclusively uses lifetime values. We understand that in particular circumstances, this is often not precise enough to see sudden changes in behaviour, e.g. a spike in response times.

There is an existing requirement for interval statistics values to be available through the Explorer plug-in. Please add your vote on the following page:

    Best regards,
    Rob.

    Rob,

Thank you very much for the information. That's exactly what I needed to know and my vote has been cast.

    Thanks again,
