Pinned topic pr0cmnd command to remove rows (Optim 7.2.2)

‏2012-06-04T22:02:48Z |
We are using Optim 7.2.2 as our archive solution, and I'm trying to use the command line interface (PR0CMND /AFMF
) to selectively remove rows from a registered Archive File. I followed all steps provided in help, no error in the process report (see below), but nothing happened.

report log:

Archive File Maintenance Facility Process Report
Command Line Parameters OUTPUT=reportest.txt @test.txt
Client User ID db2inst1
Time Started 6/4/12 21:47:22
Time Finished 6/4/12 21:47:23
Elapsed Time 00:00:01
Process Status no errors, no warnings

Process Summary:
Archive files processed 0
Index files processed 0

Process 1 of 1

  • -- -

Process Commands:
1) AF lexbz3001 /opdata/archive/AARSRVREQ_Apr092012-0005.AF
2) SELCRIT OPTIMDB.SIEBEL.S_SRV_REQ: ROW_ID = '1-AEN1C'
3) RUN REMOVEROWS

Can be related to license ? we have license for Archive (Not Licensed for 'Edit', 'Move (+Delete)', 'Compare')

I appreciate any help,

Thanks,

Mauricio

    Hi,

More details about the problem can be found in the trace log of pr0cmnd. Please look at the trace to find out if any error due to license.

Also, you may try a simple remove rows command to verify whether the remove rows is working or not for the existing license because looks like there is something wrong with the command line provided below. Following are few questions and suggestions.

    1. Is the archive file already registered to the current Optim directory?
    2. Why the table name has a colon (OPTIMDB.SIEBEL.S_SRV_REQ:)? I feel it should not have a colon.
    3. What is ROW_ID? Is it a column in the table OPTIMDB.SIEBEL.S_SRV_REQ?
    4. Avoid giving spaces in the condition i.e. try with ROW_ID='1-AEN1C'

    Best Regards,

      Rajani,

FYI .. 1 parameter was missing (PSTDIR). After adding it, and removing the colon after table name, I was able to run the command with success.

      Thanks for your time.
