Pinned topic confusion about "weight" attribute in voicexml

‏2012-05-31T10:01:27Z |
Greetings,

I am a bit confused re: how to use the "weight" attribute.

specifically,

1. I saw this thread:

https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=99495&#99495

which suggests that weight is not supported at all in IBM VoiceServer. (Could that be true?!)

2. I have seen in official documentations that weights do work:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/pvcvoice/51x/topic/com.ibm.websphere.wvs.doc/wvs/toc.pdf

which leads me here:

http://www.w3.org/TR/voicexml20/#dml3.1.1.3

which suggests that weight do work, and that they can be "inline" or applied as a <grammar > attribute.

And yet other resources suggest weight only applies to <one-of> elements.

BOTTOM LINE: Is there anyone who is able to clear the air here? Does IBM VoiceServer support the WEIGHT attribute, and if so, under what conditions??

Thank you kindly,

S
