Re: Can IA data rules execution be event triggered?2012-05-25T14:13:12Z in response to eric g. sThere's two approaches that could be used to trigger rules execution.
If you want to trigger an execution against a targeted database/file, then you want to use the API/CLI functions. You will need something external to trigger the event (such as starting a command line batch file). See here for details on using the API/CLI: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iisinfsv/v8r7/topic/com.ibm.swg.im.iis.ia.restapi.doc/topics/c_restapi_intro.html
If you want to trigger a rule as a service for in-process data, then you would want to embed an IA rule into a DataStage or QualityStage service using the Data Rule stage and the Information Services Director to deploy the service.
