Pinned topic Custom Action - defining target server and target node

‏2012-05-23T13:25:35Z |
For health policies, when I add a custom action in the list of actions to take, I must specify at least a target node. For the pre-built actions (like 'Restart server') the target server is the 'Sick server' and the target node is the 'Node hosting sick server'.

Is there a way to mimic those settings for custom actions instead of having to select target values? If not, then it seems that to use custom actions would require a specific health policy for each monitored JVM.

Any ideas?

Currently, there is no way to target a custom action to sick server or node hosting sick server.

Thanks! After playing with scripting, I came to the same conclusion. Hopefully WAS 8.5 has an enhancement to its VE features to allow it.
